California's Big Sur coast is a rugged
region where mountains plunge dramatically into the Pacific.
Described as one of the most dramatic meetings of land and sea
in the world it is relatively undeveloped and pristine, a natural
refuge for wildlife. The region experiences a moderate climate
with an average of 300+ days of sunshine a year. Temperatures
range between 65 to 85 degrees in summer, and 45 to 70 degrees
in winter. Seasonal rain generally falls between November and
March, with clear, mild weather between impressive storms.
